Build A Boat 2-By Amiel (SLJ)

 Build A Boat 2

Happy late New Years, I'm back from my little break during the Christmas times and ready to do more Task's! For this new task or old task, I have to make a boat with recycle materiel, I chose this task to refresh my mind from my break and start something simple and easy. For this task I use 2 bottles, small plastic bag, 3 skewers (2 to connect the bottles and 1 for the mast), tape and a rope. Anyways here is the boat I made

  1. Kia ora Amiel,

My name is Fiona and I am a Manaiakalani facilitator based in Taranaki. It is great to see that you are getting back into in the summer learning journey after your Christmas break.

I really like your boat design. Great idea to use a ziplock bag as your sail. How does it go in the water? Does the sail catch the wind and propel the boat?

Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing more great quality posts from you during the summer learning journey.

It is fantastic that you have created another boat, it looks like you have put a lot of effort and thought into creating this boat. It is Great to see that you get to use your creativity and become an inventor. It is so cool that you have used so many materials to create a boat. It is awesome to see you thinking about kaitiakitanga as you used materials that are reusable and recyclable. Finally it was really good to see that you have given a list of materials you have used so that your fellow bloggers may give it a go.

I am curious, did you get a chance to test it out yet?

Keep up the Super work we look forward to your next blog post!!!

    Have a Super Summer!!!

    Ngā mihi,

    1. Kia Ora Quein,

Thanks for the comment, I have tried it once when I went to the beach but my sister broke it before I got the chance to take a picture of it as evidence so this a picture of the repaired boat.
For my experience It float very nicely and handle the waves like a champ so im quite happy of my work. Anyways thank's for the comment and have an awesome summer time.

  3. Kia ora Amiel,
I love your boat - it's beautifully made and with so much air in the bottles, I bet it would float really well.
I also love the string so that it doesn't float away!
    Great building.
